Volunteering with Natural England
 

Natural England has over 1,000 volunteers across the country, offering help on National Nature Reserves and Sites of Special Scientific Interest, providing expert advice on protected species to members of the public and helping with projects or administration in Regional Teams.

 
Roles for Volunteers in Natural England

There are a number of 'traditional' volunteer roles, including those discussed in the case studies below. These volunteers recount their experiences when they worked for English Nature.

The roles mentioned above are certainly what the majority of Natural England’s volunteers do – you could say that they are our speciality. However, some teams also offer the chance of project based or office/administration work.
